A good mid-nineteenth century American silver sauce ladle with the mark of Charles Gennet. Gennet used a number of different marks over his long career in Richmond. This mark “CHAsGENNET” is shown as mark “H” in Cathy Hollan’s book on Virginia silversmiths.
