Facsimile of The Signatures to The Declaration of Independence

An interesting and potentially useful mid-19th century engraving showing all of the original signatures on the Declaration. There is a line at the bottom giving John Quincy Adams’s certification that he has compared these to the original and “found them EXACT IMITATIONS” ┬áThe border is made up of vignettes of state seals from the original 13 states with Liberty, Justice and an American eagle at the top.

The engraving measures about 13.5 x 10

In a period rosewood veneer frame with some veneer loss at the bottom corners.
