Washington and Lafayette at Mount Vernon, Colored Engraving

This very attractive 19th century engraving shows George Washington and General Lafayette on the Front porch of Mount Vernon with a number of other family members. Lafayette is holding a copy of the Pennsylvania Gazette.  Engraved by Thomas Oldham Barlow after the very large original painting which was a collaborative effort of Thomas P. Rossiter and Louis R. Mignot and is now at the Metropolitan Museum.

Elegantly matted and framed.

The image itself measures about 19 X 30.
