Virginia Hepplewhite Five Drawer Chest

Virginia Hepplewhite Five Drawer Chest

A very solid and very well preserved chest from an old house in Hanover County. Heavily constructed of walnut with all southern yellow pine secondary wood except for one poplar backboard. Refinished a generation ago when the wooden knobs were set into the holes for the original round brass pulls. Three of the five original drawer locks remain.
