Tall [not very] Case Clock, Likely Virginia

This fine Federal period mahogany tall clock is, at just under 7 feet, an unusually small size. The works are period and appropriate, and are keeping good time, but are not original to the case. Not being signed we cannot make a firm attribution but there are real similarities with several clocks shown in an article on Fredericksburg area clocks in the MESDA journal of November 1992. We think this clock case was likely made in our area of Virginia.

The finial and the glasses in the side of the hood are replaced.
