Southern Federal Washstand

This is a common form in English furniture, but rather rare as an identifiable Southern piece. The southern yellow pine secondary wood of this stand confirms its origin. Most stands like this had tops with holes to hold a basin and those tops have been replaced over the years, as has happened with this one.
