This small mantle came from Millbank, the historic Strother family home on the Rappahannock below Fredericksburg. When we found it it had been moved to an outbuilding but, judging from the size, it was probably originally in an upstairs bedroom.
It has been painted several times though the paint is not thick so it could easily be cleaned a bit and repainted or stripped bare. The fireplace opening is 34.5″ x 27.5″
