Sidney L. Shannon Jr. Aviation Trophy

Sid Shannon developed Shannon airport and also the old Sheraton Hotel at the front of the property that is now Central Park in Fredericksburg. His father was a founder of Eastern Airlines and Sid maintained a lifelong interest in aviation history. This Kirk sterling silver cup is engraved “Reading Aviation Awards-Antique-Best of Class-Sidney L. Shannon Jr.”
