Saint Yves, Carved Figure Reliquary

Saint Yves, also known as Ivo, was born in Kermartin, a tiny village in northern France in 1253. He is known as the patron Saint of lawyers and is famous for his help to the poor and oppressed. This fascinating carved and painted figure appears to be a reliquary with a sealed compartment at one side.

Very well preserved with original paint.
