Rare Derby Porcelain Box

A very fine and beautiful 18th century English porcelain box with a rare mark. Geoffrey Godden’s “Encyclopedia of British Pottery and Porcelain Marks” shows the mark on this piece and explains that Derby sometimes made replacement pieces for Frankenthal porcelain.
