Queen Anne Handkerchief Table

More properly called a corner table, this is a nice English example of a form that was quite popular in Colonial Virginia. It is mahogany with a dark historic surface and the somewhat unusual feature of having two sets of hinges so that the top can be opened to reveal a storage compartment. The original brass latch of the same form as seen on tip top tea table is still in place and functioning.
