A transfer printed Staffordshire plate with a rather rare American scene with the impressed mark of the Andrew Stevenson pottery and a printed title label on the back. The image is taken from a painting by William Guy Wall who arrived in New York from Dublin in 1812 and had a distinguished artistic career.
There is a small repaired chip on the rim at three o’clock.
