Napoleon in Venice, Engraving

This engraving, after a painting by Carle Vernet and titled; “Entree des Francais a Venise, en Floreal, an 5” shows Napoleon’s forces taking down and hauling away the famous bronze horses from the front of St. Marks. They were returned after Waterloo.

In a 20th century gilt wood frame. The image measures about 11 x 15.75

There is a small tear visible at lower right.  As usual with things framed behind glass, please forgive the reflections.
