Greenbury Gaither, Washington, DC Silver

Greenbury Gaither is recorded as working in Washington in the 1820’s and 30’s. His shop was on Pennsylvania Avenue. These spoons are well made, of a good weight and exceptionally well preserved with clear marks. We read the monogram as “MCG” which tempts us to think that they may have been for a member of the silversmith’s family, but unfortunately we don’t know.
