A fine, substantial and entirely complete cruet set by Samuel Wood, a very good mid-eighteenth century silversmith specializing in cruet stands.
The glass bottles are original. The silver is fully hallmarked. The engraved crest shows a sailing ship. One silver caster has had a silver filler inserted to block the holes from the inside, presumably for use as a bottle rather than a shaker.
58 troy ounces of silver.
