Engraved Portrait “Georges Washington, Premier President des Etats Unis de Amérique”

A rare French engraving of Washington. The only other copy of this image that I could find is in the Library of Congress [control # 2004666697] ^[1] and it has several additional lines of caption giving Washington’s birth and death dates.

A fine period engraving on laid paper. Matted and in a modern gilt frame.

The plate size is 7.5 x 6.75
