Boston Silver Gallery Tray

A fine American silver tray by Lows, Ball & Company, predecessors to Shreve, Crump & Low, the most famous Boston silver company. The mark on this piece was used for only six years from 1840 to 1846. The filigree gallery has survived entirely intact. The ball and claw feet are beautifully detailed. Nicely engraved, but never monogrammed.
