A large and impressive salt glaze stoneware plaque molded in high relief with the arms of Great Britain surrounded by the heraldic crests of 18 other nations. This was almost certainly created at the time of the Crystal Palace exhibition in London and, though unmarked, could be attributed to Charles Meigh, the leading manufacturer of molded white salt gaze stoneware.
It weighs about 8 1/2 pounds
In fine original condition. There are some small brown spots due to iron in the glaze
