A high style late 18th century French game table. The brass fluting to the legs sets this table above many others. It has its original grey marble top, pierced brass gallery and brass casters. There are two drawers and two candle slides as is it typical with better examples of the form. Several fine cracks to the marble and a small break in the gallery. James Monroe owned a very similar table, but without the brass fluting.
