A Fine Hepplewhite Kettle Stand

A top quality and perfectly preserved inlaid mahogany urn or kettle stand of the sort shown with six examples in Hepplewhite’s Director, all of which have the small slide for a teapot as we see here. The best crotch mahogany top, finely executed inlay, and delicate molded, tapered and splayed legs, make this a beautiful piece. It has its original casters with brass cups and rare hard leather wheels.
