Edgar A. Poe Bronze by Edith W. Burroughs for the Grolier Club

This portrait plaque was commissioned by the Grolier club of New York in 1909 to celebrate the 100 anniversary of Poe’s birth. It was created by the very talented American female sculptor Edith Woodman Burroughs [1871-1916] and cast by the Roman Bronze Works in New York. The emblem to the right is the Grolier Club crest.
