James Geddy, Williamsburg, Silver Spoon

James Geddy, Williamsburg, Silver Spoon

This little spoon has the very rare “I.G” mark that is confirmed to be James Geddy of the famous silversmith shop in Williamsburg. It matches, in mark, form and style of engraved monogram, the several spoons that have been excavated at the Governor’s Palace and at the Geddy house in Williamsburg. There is also a matching spoon at the Virginia Historical Society.
