This very sophisticated American Hepplewhite table is part of a small group attributed to Baltimore. There is a very similar table in the 1947 Baltimore Museum catalog, two pieces in Edgar Miller’s “American Antique Furniture” and one piece in an old Antiques Magazine ad. Baltimore is more known for bellflower inlay, but we think this oval and diamond pattern is particularly bold and exciting. The quality of this table is superb in terms of construction, materials and condition.
Recently reacquired from the estate of the collector to whom we had sold it several years ago.
