British Navy Powder Monkey Bucket

British Navy Powder Monkey Bucket

The young men in the British navy who climbed in and out of the ship’s hold carrying gun powder up to the cannon on deck were called “powder monkeys”. This is one of their buckets with the British coat of arms painted on the side. There has been some repair to the handle attachment.
